Steve was a loving father, devoted husband, dedicated police officer, great partner, and a super friend. Although we will miss him very much, he will never be forgotten. Steve died surrounded by family and friends at the Irvine Medical Center on January 7, 2004. His death was due to a massive heart attack while on duty Friday, January 2, 2004.

Memorial Services were held on Monday January 12, 2004, 1:00 p.m. at the Mariners Church, 5001 Newport Coast Drive, Irvine, California 92612.
