- UCI Letter Investigation - In January 2010, several UCI employees received suspicious envelopes via campus mail that originated in Idaho, containing a white powder, and included the words "black death." Powder from all of the envelopes has been analyzed and the white substance was harmless.
These incidents are a serious crime and are being investigated in cooperation with federal authorities. Individuals responsible will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

- Suspect arrested in UCI identity fraud case - UC Irvine police detectives, along with Dallas County district attorney investigators and Fort Worth police officers arrested a suspect July 8 in UCI’s identity theft case.
- R.A.D Program - Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) is a program designed to provide women with the techniques and concepts needed for defending oneself. The program enables women to take a more active role in protecting themselves and in their psychological well being. Next class will be on April 14, 15, 16 5:30-9:30PM.
- UCIPD CAREs Drop-In Group - Students, faculty and staff are invited to attend this monthly drop-in group to find out more about reporting options related to intimate partner violence and sexual assault.
